Resellers of AMD kit have received an invitation to join the pre-beta test for Microsoft Windows for AMD64.
It's widely expected that the operating system for AMD's desktop, mobile and server 64-bit chips is likely to become available in the first quarter of next year.

AMD claims that the lack of Windows for AMD64 at its launch in September 23rd won't make a great deal of difference to end users, because its chip will run 32-bit code faster, and when the OS and other Windows apps become available, people will be able to upgrade then.
