SCO sites were downed by DoS attack, claim

Linux Today says that the SCO network was hit by a denial of service attack, said Eric S. Raymond, president of the Open Source Initiative. The attack, he says, was "organised by an experienced Internet engineer" who has agreed to stop the attack after earlier requests.
