Nvidia & PlayStation 3

Just when we all thought NVIDIA was losing big time against ATI, there are rumours around that the graphics chip manufacturer is in the talks with Sony for the next iteration of the PlayStation. These rumours come after Microsoft and ATI announced they will be working together in X-Box 2 development.

It's a fact there is interest from both sides, after all Sony is already investing a lot of time and resources on the development of the 'Cell' processor and they have hinted already the PS3 will do more than just games. In the other hand, the graphics unit in a console is one, if not the most expensive part to make, that's when going in-house becomes an advantage.

Still too early to tell, indeed, I guess we'll see in the months to come.
