MSN to offer music downloads next year

Microsoft plans to introduce a song-downloading service next year that will compete with similar offerings from Apple Computer, Roxio's Napster and others.

Although no further details have been leaked out, it's likely that Microsoft will use Windows' dominance to their advantage, it's also been said that MS is in the talks with major labels and they will try to break the 99cents price barrier.
