XGI targets a 5-10% global share for next year

XGI Technology, which entered mass production of its desktop-use Volari graphics chips this month, aims to capture a 5-10% global market share in the desktop graphics chip market next year, company president Chris Lin said.

The chip vendor in September introduced its Volari line, a complete desktop graphics processor line consisting of four chips available in seven configurations. According to our earlier report, Asustek Computer, Club-3D, CP Technology, Gigabyte Technology and Micro-Star International (MSI) will ship graphics cards using XGI’s chips.
