Motoracer 2 is no more than the long awaited sequel (at least for me and for lot of people, too, I think) of the revolutionary motorcycle racing game Motoracer.

When Motoracer was released we could realize it was the funiest racing game ever in the PC and not only that but it was fassst !, the feel of speed was second to none and I still think is one of the best games available for the PC.

Not even car based racing games like Need for Speed 2 were so fun....... but what made Motoracer big?

it wasnīt the gameplay, it wasnīt the AI, it wasnīt the features but an excellent mix of all of them together and THE gameplay what made Motoracer a blast !!!

Although Mracer2 is in beta state we can say itīs improvements might going to make of it the best racing game again, but that isnīt that easy anymore, in the past there was just Road Rash and thatīs it, now some other very cool games of the same type like the amazing (graphically talking) Criterionīs Redline Racer and the widely-open-arenas based Motocross Madness from Microsoft.

Anyway Motoracer2 is going to have both styles, Motocross and SuperBike racing which we can consider an advantage.

The major complain of people ragarding Mracer was that it carried a very limited number of tracks, in total they were only 8 (plus 2 more which you could download) which wasnīt enough to keep you playing for a lot of time but now they arenīt going to make the same mistake and thatīs why theyīve announced that Motorcaer2 will be packed with a total of 32 all new tracks of both Super Bike and Motocross courses, races take place on Standard Grand Prix and Outdoor tracks as well as in exotic locales such as Amazonia, Britany and the Sahara.

My Principal hope about Motoracer2 and specifically the huge number of tracks is that I wouldnīt like that they get repetitive and not be be almost the same with just some small variants, but... we donīt have to forget that Mracer2 contains some new features that recreate the whole level enviroment, yes improved graphics, but what I was talking about is that you can modify race conditions, number of laps (2-6), weather conditions such as snow, sun, rain and also time of the day (day or night).

But unlike other games that contain these kind of effects I can assure that in Mracer2 the weather effects really affect gameplay, maybe by a 90% which is terrific! since it would totally redefine challenge and also would keep you playing for a longer time plus now you can choose the level of realism of bike handling between arcade or simulation mode.

Another of the bigger complain of Motoracer was the lack of two-player mode but in M2 there isnīt going to be such problem, youīll be able to race up to 4 players on split screen or over the internet/LAN in single or team races.

Now, if you think youīre going to get bored very fast with Motoracer2 or you just want a huge challenge, M2 has itīs own 3D track creator where youīre going to be able to create, modify and save your own tracks.

Finally we can say that Motoracer2 is going to have the same excellent gameplay experience with a great bunch of improved features and graphics.

Expected Release: Early November/98
