Toptier performance.
Similar price/size as CM Hyper 212+.
Good cooling under standard load.
Great price to cooling to size ratio.
Looks good.
Easy to install.
Fits most systems.
Supports a second fan.
Tetchy pushpin install.
Frustrating fan attachments.
Taking it off of a LGA 775 Socket is a pain.

Great cooling can cost a substantial amount of money, but it does not need to be that way. The Thermaltake Contac29 nails any requirement you might have for a budget cooler – easy to fit, quiet in operation with impressive cooling performance....

As I said on the previous page, I am definitely satisfied with the Thermaltake Contac 29. It is lightweight, affordable, and quiet; yet it extends very similar performance to coolers that cost nearly twice. However, since the cooler is small, its...

The focus of this Frostytech review is the Thermaltake Contac 29, a new mid-sized tower heatsink from this well known Taiwanese-based manufacturer....

Direct-contact heat pipes must work! When the wimpy-looking Cooler Master Hyper 212+ (reviewed Holiday 2009) came along and matched performance with the best air coolers on the market, we wondered if its direct-contact heat pipes were responsible, and...

While it won't fit into the really small cases the Vortex can hide into, the Contac is reasonably sized and will fit in any midsize tower out there and also won't block memory slots. The price is right and there really is nothing to complain...

In the end I found that this was a good cooler. What it lacked in size it made up for in efficiency. While it might not have been the best overclocking CPU cooler it stood its ground and proved that even little coolers can still provide good heat...

The tests shows us that the Artic Cooling Freezer Xtreme is a bit better in full, but also the Contact 29 isn’t so bad, and it gives a boost of 18°C from Intel stock and it’s very easy to mount and unmount. So those two cpu cooler are on...

The Thermaltake Contac 29 CPU cooler is a very good choice if you're looking for an inexpensive way to cool your CPU. It cools as well as cooler priced twice as much, which is truly saying something about the design and quality of it. Yes, I'd...

We were definitely impressed by the results of this unit, and it really is an all around strong player. However, the mounting system presented for AMD setups isn't exactly something we're in love with, and the same can be said for the fan...

While the AMD clamp mounts exposed copper HDT rods very well to the processor and transfers heat to the twin-fan aluminum finsink, a standard push-pin mounting clip system keeps this cooler from reaching its very best possible performance...
