Dell XPS 13 (9300) - 2020

This is a Windows machine that matches everything about Apple's MacBook Air and even bests it in several ways. Suffice to say, the latest Dell XPS 13 delivers.

There are a number of laptops out there that get just about everything right. But most of them have at least one area of serious concern where the XPS edges them out. On HP’s Spectre x360, it’s the 16:9 screen. On the Surface Laptop 3, it’s the lack of Thunderbolt. On the Surface Pro 7, it’s the dated design. On the MacBook Air, it’s the battery life. To be the best laptop you can buy, the XPS 13 doesn’t need to do everything perfectly; it just needs to do everything a little bit better. And for yet another year, it does.

Overall, we love the design, look, and balance of performance to battery life of the newest XPS 13. Folks shopping for a high-end, thin and light notebook will find lots of performance, battery life, and great looks to keep them happy and sated for a long while. Dell has managed to refine the XPS 13 into an even better ultraportable, with thinner display bezels, a wider and more comfortable keyboard, and a more modern design. It’s everything we want in a compact notebook.

The 2020 version of the Dell XPS 13 is an excellent ultraportable laptop, with head-turning looks and plenty of power for everyday tasks.

The new XPS 13 9300 leaves a very good impression in our review. The case is well built, extremely compact, and sturdy at the same time. The matte 16:10 display can convince us expect for the slow response times, but we recommend to calibrate it. The two speakers are also completely sufficient.
