The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus is a great ultrabook with an excellent design, lots of processing power and top-notch sound quality (for an ultrabook). But with screen contrast this low (330:1), we just can't give it five stars. Plus, it has only half the...

The Samsung Ativ Book 9 is one of the nicer Windows Ultrabooks around at the moment with stylish design and impressive-looking specifications. But it comes at a high price and has disappointing battery life. Unless you specifically want Windows 8 and that super high-res display, you should bear in mind that the equivalent MacBook Air has better overall performance and is cheaper.

It's a solid enough package that we can forgive its few flaws (the painted-on branding and the comparatively slow disk speeds). So, while there are some other excellent, similarly priced options out there, the ATIV Book 9 Plus is a fantastic option in its own right.
