Sleek, compact design, Nice display, HDMI output
AMD Fusion APU offers versatile processing and graphics perfromance, Full-sized, comfortable keyboard.
The Sony Vaio YB35KX/B has a lot of hard-drive space, solid performance from an AMD E-450 processor, and long battery life; this 11-incher has the portability of a Netbook, and it's reasonably affordable.
Sluggish performance, Excess bloatware needs pruning to make laptop usable, Frustrating Sony software, Beeps when adjusting volume, Merely average battery life
Battery life falls short of competition, Keys rattle, Touchpad is small.
The cramped keyboard and touch pad make this Vaio feel more like a Netbook from 2010 than an ultrabook from 2011, and it lacks USB 3.0.

We have to say that the Sony Vaio VPC-YB3V1E/S is a fairly affordable subnotebook. Its configuration and price of EUR 479 (~$630 USD) aims at the entry-level sector. The manufacturing is good and it also looks elegant. The components have been chosen...

The VAIO YB Series is a decent secondary computer for casual use: typing, sending e-mail, and watching videos on the Web. Don’t be drawn in, though, by its promises of Kinect-like gesture input....

As I’d expect of any ultraportable from Sony, the VAIO Y (VPCYB36KG/B) is attractive – smooth lines, glossy 11.6-inch display in a thin lid, and solid barrel-hinge holding the machine together. That said, it has a maximum thickness of 32mm....

The Sony VAIO VPC-YB35KX is a competent netbook, with an AMD APU that offers a decent combination of processing and graphics, and a healthy feature set that includes stereo Bluetooth, HDMI, and two card reader slots. Its battery life is a bit of a...

The Sony Vaio YB35KX/B has a gray-black plastic exterior that makes it look rather blaze, but it doesn't look bad in the end. It measures 11.4 x 8.0 x 1.3-inches (wdh) and weighs just over 3-pounds, so it's extremely portable and small enough to...

The more affordable and better-performing Sony Vaio YB35KX/B is a modest improvement on the last YB model we reviewed, adding up to a full-featured but cramped 11-inch laptop that'll cost a lot less than an...

I've always been a fan of Sony's Vaios, a line of notebooks that can be considered a dream for every geek. However, Vaios used to be peppery priced, so only available to a bunch of lucky ones. I said used to because things changed in the last...

Heel blij mee o.a....
