I went into it expecting a simple, evocative game-based meditation on death, and while I was somewhat surprised by the level of challenge and cleverness, it still was exactly a simple, evocative, game-based meditation on death. That's rare enough and smart enough to make it easy to recommend Continue?9876543210 to the curious.

Continue's commentary on mortality, existence, and what is truly important in our lives will persist long after you put the game away. It is a pity the actual game supporting this evaluation isn't as rich as the subject matter it addresses.

I’ve never played a game that asked me - me, the player - to sit quietly and think about my dead cat for a few poignant seconds. I’ve never played a game that made me question whether I’d be okay with my own death if it happened today. I don’t know if I would be. But I’m glad I was asked.
