Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2
Long shots are satisfying.
Great enemy AI presents a real challenge.
Mostly realistic stealth mechanics.
Well-balanced difficulty settings.
BDC / Wind and Direction / distance is a good trio of factors for sniping.
Checkpoints are too spread out.
Multiplayer is an afterthought.
4 hours and DOA multiplayer makes this game very, very short.
Bullet penetration is inconsistent.
Story isnít even worth mentioning.

It's true – if there's the option to snipe in a shooter, that's usually my first choice when it comes to combat roles. In both Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2, the sniper class was the first that I fully unlocked. In Source mod, Day of...33

The online is a waste, the action isn’t as intense as I want it to be and the highlight of the game is its visuals. I wanted to love Ghost Warrior 2, and came away simply disappointed.55

If you loved the tense sniper missions in the last couple of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” games, you’ve probably wondered at some point what it would be like to have a whole game made up of such stealthy goodness. Wonder no more,...80

While some aspects of the game are worthwhile on higher difficulty settings, the hand holding on Casual and Medium is excessive. All in all I’m not disappointed with the title but it will sit on the shelf next to a lot of others that came close, but didn’t quite pull it together to make it something great.64

Sometimes that style of gameplay backfires, however, as the wait goes on for a few minutes. Apparently, it doesn’t take long for other players to adopt a similar strategy.60

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a couple of significant rungs above shovelware, providing a very specific sort of experience that it blatantly advertises on the box. It doesn’t overstretch itself, staying solidly within the bounds of its premise. It’s just a shame that its PC version seems to be fundamentally broken.60

The frustratingly few-and-far-between checkpoints and MIA multiplayer are disappointments, but this is a worthy sniping experience, especially given the game's budget price. This thoughtfully designed sequel makes good on the promise of its highly flawed predecessor.70

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 isn’t bereft of good ideas or mechanics, it’s just that they’re all trapped in a short series of levels that rarely give you anything all that interesting to do with them.50
