Pros:

  • Fan created addons and cool effects
  • Another thirty or so hours questing in the world of Oblivion, one of the greatest RPGs ever; graphics, sound, and story all combine to provide one of the greatest gaming experiences available today; the first expansion that Ive played which actually makes
  • Terrific main quest; great characters, monsters and new items; beautiful art design; compatible with popular UI and graphic mods.

Cons:

  • Some parts are a bit too easy
  • That I can think of - there is no reason not to play this game if you already have Oblivion.

You played Oblivion, right? Well, you certainly should have, son. While it was a bit light on the narrative side of things, its well-balanced mix of exploration, dungeon-crawling, bizarrely addictive character improvement and, good old fun made it far...

Most of us at Maximum PC really dug Oblivion—some of us could do little else until we’d “finished” it, including sleep, eat, shower, or hit our deadlines…. When it was finally over, we went through a little withdrawal...

Explore the Daedric realm of madness, complete with giant mushrooms and odd-looking monsters. The Shivering Isles is the first proper expansion for Oblivion. Its possibly the least intrusive expansion of a game ever, since if you dont sleep in the...

An excellent addition to the Oblivion world, but it is a bit mad... The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the biggest and best role-playing games ever, and the Shivering Isles pack adds a whole new realm to explore. The bizarre tone is set from...

Oblivion blew open the gates last year as the fourth game in the long running series of Elder Scrolls. It won numerous awards and caused more relationship break-ups than seen on the Jerry Springer show in a year. Now, almost exactly a year later, the...

It says something about an expansion pack that its biggest defect is a bug affecting those who put between 50 and 120 hours into it. Clearly, this is a bit of a disaster for those planning to kick off The Shivering Isles then return to the land...

The isles themselves arent quite as big as Cyrodiil but its still pretty good and there are, as before, quite a few sights to see. Theres only one real city in the Isles, called New Sheoth, which itself is split into Mania/Dementia sides (called...

I really enjoyed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. As an RPG, it stands out not only for the beauty and sheer power of its graphic engine but also for the breadth of the world it offered gamers. Oblivion was full of so many interesting things to see,...
