Big screen. Low up-front price with no contract.
The Huawei Ascend runs on Android 2.1 and features a sleek design and a nine-home-screen grid for the 3.5-inch HVGA display. The file manager app is a handy addition, as is Swype as the default keyboard input method.

Cons:

No 3G. Middling call quality. Sluggish, choppy UI.
The Huawei Ascend has terrible call quality and a 2.5-millimeter headset jack instead of the 3.5mm standard. There are too many preloaded apps, and the dialer interface lacks a call end button.
