Is it a phone? Is it a camera? No, it's the Nokia Lumia 1020 ! With the Lumia 1020, Nokia decided not to decide. On the one hand, this is a powerful smartphone that looks good even next to the iPhone 5s. On the other, it's a 41 megapixel camera,...

I disagree with some of what you say. You claim that the third party apps are essentially a let down, however the only name apps you say are missing are google apps and snapchat. Nokia has a third party app of 6snap which is approved by snapchat, and...

The Lumia 1020 is simultaneously projected forward by Nokia and held back by Microsoft. I just can't rely on Windows Phone to get the job done. Nokia has done all it can — and that's a lot, considering where Windows Phone would be without Nokia's contributions — but it's not enough to provide a better experience than iOS or Android.
