Eight 2.5/3.5inch HDD Bays, Dualcore Intel Atom w/ plenty of RAM, VMWare ESX/ESXi Certified, FTP, AppleTalk, SMB, iSCSI support, Lowpower consumption, Easy web configuration/management

Cons:

Rather long booting times, Bad transcoding quality for video, Not a cheap investment, Power consumption much higher than what QNAP advertises
No iSCSI LUN resizing (yet), Same thing as the previous, just more of it

Where am I to start with the QNAP TS-859 Pro. It costs as much as a high performance PC, but still manages to impress. QNAP has gone a long way and has created a powerful NAS with a very long feature set usually not found in such a unit usually...

QNAP definitely did a fantastic job on this NAS. It features eight hard drive bays that support both 2.5 and 3.5-inch SATA hard drives, plenty of processing power to push data to many user connections or even the load from virtualization products....
