Inside the Mate 9 you'll find a non-removable 15.4 Wh (4,000 mAh at 3.85V) lithium-ion battery. This is larger than average for a large-screened smartphone, with phones like the Pixel XL and Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (rest in peace) packing 3,500 mAh batteries or thereabouts.

The Mate 9 features excellent battery life, outperforming some of my favorite phones like the Pixel XL and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Even with the large 5.9-inch LCD, the Mate 9 should easily last a full day of proper usage.
