Far Cry, F.E.A.R

The Radeon X1300 Pro was again significantly faster as we look at the Far Cry performance with low quality in-game settings turned on. The PCI Express Radeon X1300 Pro was 80% faster than the VisionTek Radeon X1300 PCI card at 1024x768. This margin blew out to an even greater win for the X1300 Pro, as it won by an 118% margin at 1280x1024.

While the VisionTek Radeon X1300 PCI just managed to deliver playable performance at 1024x768 with minimum in-game quality settings enabled, the X1300 Pro did it with ease. At the same resolution the X1300 Pro could get away with high quality in-game settings.

F.E.A.R is not a game you would expect to run quite smoothly with a low-end graphics card, but with low quality visual settings it is possible or at least it is on a PCIe Radeon X1300 Pro. The Radeon X1300 PCI did deliver playable performance at 1024x768, but with an average of 40fps gameplay will not always flow comfortably. The Gigabyte Radeon X1300 Pro on the other hand managed 72fps at this same resolution.
