HandBrake gave away nothing with all three budget AM3 motherboards rendering 57fps resulting in another tie. What makes this more interesting is that the unlocked Phenom was a mere two frames slower than the twice as costly Core i5 750.

The x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 also shows all three budget AM3 motherboards delivering the same performance at 69fps each. This was enough to overtake the Core i5 750.

The last encoding software we used to benchmark was TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress. Here the budget AM3 boards delivered very similar performance.
