Benchmarks: Quake 4, Serious Sam 2

While the Prey performance was quite close between the GeForce 8800 GTX and Radeon X1950XTX, this next game based on the Doom 3 engine favors the 8800 GTX. The lowest tested resolution is 1024x768 and at this resolution the 8800 GTX was 50% faster than the X1950XTX. Moving up to 1600x1200 saw this margin increase to 54% and by the time the maximum tested resolution of 2560x1600 was reached, the difference dropped to 30%.

Finally the last game we tested actually comes bundled with the MSI GeForce 8800 GTX. Serious Sam 2 seriously liked the 8800 GTX, at 1024x768 the 8800 GTX was 62% faster and this performance margin only got bigger as the resolution increased. By the time the maximum tested resolution of 2560x1600 was reached, the 8800 GTX was in front of the X1950XTX by 77%. An average frame rate of 81fps at 2560x1600 is very impressive in Serious Sam 2.
