Benchmarks: Dirt 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2
When testing Dirt 2 at 2560x1600, the GeForce GTX 580 was 4% faster than the dual-GPU Radeon HD 5970 and 7% faster than the Radeon HD 5870. However, what impressed us the most was the fact that the GTX 580 delivered 27% more performance than the older GeForce GTX 480, boosting the average frame rate from 59fps to 75fps at this extreme resolution.
Running Battlefield Bad Company 2 at 2560x1600 showed the GeForce GTX 580 to be 15% slower than the Radeon HD 5970. We were happy to find that the GeForce GTX 580 provided a 17% increase over the GTX 480, and it was 31% faster than the Radeon HD 5870.
