Using the new Futuremark 3Dmark 11 benchmark program we found that the new Radeon HD 6970 was 7% faster than the GeForce GTX 570 when running the extreme test. Should this be the case when running actual games this could be very good news for AMD.

The same test also reported that the Radeon HD 6970 was 7% slower than the GeForce GTX 580 and 27% slower than the HD 5970 while it was 16% faster than the HD 5870.
