Overclocking Performance

Overclocking the A8-3850 processor is relatively straightforward and we found when setting the vcore at 1.5v, achieving 3.60GHz was possible on all three A75 motherboards.

Gigabyte's A75-UD4H offered the best results, reaching 3724MHz. The F1A75-V followed with a 3640MHz overclock and the A75 Extreme6 managed 3625MHz.

Using the embedded Radeon graphics core, we recorded 95fps when running Far Cry 2 at 1280x800 using the overclocked A75-UD4H.

The x264 HD Benchmark 4.0 also revealed a 23% performance increase in the first pass test with the overclocked A8-3850.
