Benchmarks: Hard Reset, Just Cause 2
When running the Hard Reset benchmark at 2560x1600 the Radeon HD 7870 was found to be 8% slower than the Radeon HD 7950 and GeForce GTX 580. That said it was 13% faster than the GeForce GTX 570 and Radeon HD 6970 graphics cards. The Radeon HD 7850 was 6% slower than the GeForce GTX 570 and HD 6970, while it was 4% faster than the GTX 560 Ti.
Just Cause 2 has a number of inbuilt tests and we used the Concrete Jungle. At 2560x1600 the Radeon HD 7870 managed 31fps making it 3% faster than the GeForce GTX 570 and 7% quicker than the Radeon HD 6970. The Radeon HD 7850 on the other hand was 7% slower than the Radeon HD 6970 as well as the GeForce GTX 560 Ti. This is the first time we have seen the Radeon HD 7850 perform slower than the GeForce GTX 560 Ti.
