Memory Bandwidth Performance
The Core i7-3720QM's memory bandwidth is typical for an Ivy Bridge processor equipped with 1600MHz memory. Its read and write throughput peaks at 17GB/s, whereas the desktop Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge processors were equipped with faster 1866MHz memory giving them a little more headroom.
The L2 cache performance of the Core i7-3720QM was exceptional, particularly for a processor clocked at just 2.60GHz.
