  AMD Phenom processor family performance

-

Benchmarks: EVEREST Ultimate

The EVEREST Ultimate memory bandwidth performance results are interesting as the Phenom processors offer quite strong read performance, whereas the write performance is very poor. The Core 2 Quad Q6600 also showed a similar pattern while the older dual-core Athlon64 X2 and the recently released Core 2 Duo E8400 produced very strong read and write performance.

Unlike the Sandra XII processor test, we find that in EVEREST Ultimate the Phenom processors are able to provide the Core 2 Quad with some serious competition. All four Phenom processors were much faster in the CPU PhotoWorxx test, while the FPU SinJulia performance was very close.
