Benchmarks: Thief, Watch Dogs

The two new Maxwell GeForces occupied the top spots when testing with Thief. The GeForce GTX 980 crushed the competition with a 20% margin over the rest of the pack. Meanwhile the GTX 970 was a match for the older top guns, the Radeon R9 290X and the GTX 780 Ti.

Watch Dogs results are similar to Thief's, with the new GTX 970 able to beat the R9 290X by a small margin, and gaining a comfortable 23% lead over the R9 290.

With an average of 50fps the GeForce GTX 980 is 26% faster than the Radeon R9 290X and 31% faster than the GTX 780 Ti.
