Memory Performance

With 100% more bandwidth at its disposal, the Pentium 4 660 desktop processor has a clear cut advantage over the Turion64 ML-44 processor featured on the Aurora m9700. While the test system reached along 6GB/s of memory bandwidth, the notebook managed just 2.6GB/s according to SiSoft2007. These results were backed up by those of PCmark2005, as the test system again produced 100% more bandwidth than the Aurora m9700. As a result the MemTach Analyze performance results also strongly favored the desktop test system. However, these results are not all that important if the Turion64 can perform well in the real-world tests.
