Benchmarks: AS SSD Benchmark

As we saw in CrystalDiskMark, Samsung's SSD 850 Evo drivers are able to max out the SATA 6Gb/s interface when measuring sequential read performance.

Like many modern SSDs, the 850 Evo can hit the maximum throughput of the SATA III bus when writing sequential data.

The 4K-64 thread test shows massive performance gains been offered by the Samsung SSD 850 Evo over its predecessor. The 90% increase in read performance is welcomed here as it means the 850 Evo is on par with the 850 Pro.

Here we see a 54% increase in performance for the 850 Evo over Samsung's previous model.

Measuring the read access time reveals that the SSD 850 Evo is 19% faster than the 840 Evo as it took just 0.076ms. Not a bad result but keep in mind the Crucial MX100 was 45% faster.

This time the SSD 850 Evo was 29% faster than the 840 Evo but again was also 29% slower than the Crucial MX100.
