Benchmarks: File Copy Test

The Crucial MX200 1TB was rather slow in our single large file copy test, sustaining just 247MB/s or 16% slower than the MX100. The BX100 fared no better as it was another 8% slower than the MX200. Both new Crucial SSDs offered below average performance – a disappointing find.

Both the Crucial MX200 and BX100 provided a throughput of just over 200MB/s, which isn't that much slower than the highest performing SATA SSDs, However, both were still around 10% slower than the MX100, which is obviously quite disappointing.

Again, the MX200 and BX100 delivered similar performance, this time in our game copy test. With around 255MB/s they were 22% slower than the MX100.
