Intel is considering offloading its Intel Security division, going so far as to have met with bankers to discuss a possible sale according to sources familiar with the matter as reported by the Financial Times.
Intel Security has released its McAfee Labs Threat Report for June. It reveals the existence of an “emerging new attack method” that was considered theoretical for many years: app collusion.
Intel has agreed to purchase Canadian credential manager PasswordBox. As a result of the acquisition, PasswordBox will become a part of the Safe Identity organization within Intel’s Security Group.
