Got the email but still not confirmed

i got your email and went to the link provided. It was the terms and agreement which i agreed to. then i was redirected straight back to the page where you input your email and other info. when i filled it out again, was told my username already taken. i'm sure it meant my username was taken by me. how do i proceed? i need to confirm my account and have a question i would love to post. tyvm Bluemarinemamal
