Been fighting this for a long time - the
page is bigger than the screen
on many sites, so have to scroll right to
see the rest of it. Also too large vertically
but that isn't as big of a nuisance.

How the heck do I resize the view to fit
the screen? I've tried View - Text Zoom
but all that does is make the text smaller,
doesn't "shrink to fit".

Thanks for any tips!!

Sure glad I found a "spot" like this to help
solve some of life's frustrations!!

What resolution is you screen set at?

Most web pages these days, use a naitive resolution of 1024X768.

If your screen resolution is set to 800X600, then this will be why the web pages don`t fit your screen.

Try changing you resolution to 1024X768.

Regards Howard :) :)

some browsers provides full screen option with one of the F* keys.But u should set ur screen resolution to higher level to get websites readable with no scroolling left-right and up-down

Everybody seems to keep forgetting, he's not asking why, he's asking how......run your pc to the dektop. right click on the dektop. Click on properties/display/settings. Go to the next highest and pick tru color to maintain picture quality.

You hit it! I KNEW there had to be an easy way.

Had to adjust the text size higher as it got quite small,
but THAT I do know how to do :D

NOW - how do you keep the text size larger than 100%?
Everytime I switch screens, it reverts to 100% and is so
small it's hard to read.

If you are talking about the print being too small to read, try going to START/SETTINGS/HANDICAP and adjust display settings like contrast. Your page may be too light too read

Maybe you have too much text on that webpage!
You can also adjust the font size in the page-source itself
or do:
<body>
<basefont size "3" face="Verdana"/>
....

size="3" is the default (range from 1-7, 1=smallest/7=largest).
A visitor can change the size of text with View/Text Size, adjusting the basefont setting that way.
