imadreamsekr 02-19-2006, 06:28 PM i'm trying to erase the memory on my computer to start with a fresh clean computer.. Peddant 02-19-2006, 07:09 PM If you format the drive and re-install the OS,that`ll give you a very clean computer. If you just want to clean up an existing install, this should do the job - http://www.ccleaner.com/ Ad 02-19-2006, 07:09 PM imadreamsekr 02-19-2006, 07:15 PM i do thank you for the advice, but, you see i'm don't have any computer skills .....i don't know how to reformat and on top of it all i don't have any software....when i bought it in 2003 i was not given any software or anything.... :o Peddant 02-19-2006, 07:53 PM The title of your thread mentioned Win 98,so I assumed you had a working computer with Windows 98 on it.Is this true ? If your computer does not have an OS,you`ll have to buy one.XP is the latest version. If you want 98SE you should be able to get that cheap. If it`s an old computer 98SE would be better. When have the OS just do a google on installing it,or try these - http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html - http://www.waynescomputerworld.com/cleaninstall.html imadreamsekr 02-19-2006, 07:57 PM i downloaded cccleaner and ran it..i gained around 30MB of disk space..thank you very much..i still need to erase the memory to start fresh.. :giddy: Peddant 02-19-2006, 08:11 PM i still need to erase the memory to start fresh..What exactly do you mean ?Do you mean wipe your hard drive and reinstall the OS ? |
