SNGX1275 03-31-2003, 03:14 AM I came across this link from a forum for students at my University. Apparently its a riddle, and the first one to complete all the steps wins money. Whether this is true or not I'm not that concerned with, but what bothers me is he's stuck on the 15th step and I can't even figure out the 1st. I guess I just don't think in the right mindset to answer "riddle" type questions. Anyway have a go if you want - http://www.languid.net/nr/
Soul Harvester 03-31-2003, 08:05 AM Heh... step 1 was super simple... you are overthinking, SNG :)
poertner_1274 03-31-2003, 11:00 AM heh yeah, don't think about it too much and just "read" it :)
StormBringer 03-31-2003, 01:44 PM The first part was so simple it almost evaded me. Its simplicity is what makes it difficult. Like Poert said, just read it and literally do what it asks. That should be more than enough of a clue
Yeah, that first step is tricky, but I did it.:D
Hint: You have to type in two words - nuff said.;)
I guess after you've done a couple of these it gets easier. The thing to remember is that it is a riddle, and therefore trying to confuse you. Also, all the clues have to be on the page, so thats another clue also.:grinthumb
SNGX1275 03-31-2003, 02:08 PM oh 2 words? it just said enter a word, which I took as 1 word. Yes I did understand it was a riddle, but it really screws you up when you enter just 1 word and you are supposed to enter 2. I figured the answer was within that last paragraph.
So I guess you've got it now SNGX. The second riddle is VERY easy, once you've noticed the type of tricks that are played in Q1. :p
Spliffmeister 03-31-2003, 04:00 PM level 3 :)
Vehementi 03-31-2003, 08:46 PM I'm stuck on the third one. I know it's something simple but I'm just stuck...
Soul Harvester 03-31-2003, 09:00 PM I'm up to four.
This is pretty fun :D
RustyZip 04-01-2003, 02:53 AM Stage 4....
MARTH7 04-01-2003, 08:21 PM Look in the ad for 1-9....if anyone wants the link for 1-12 ask.
MARTH7,
Is that another 'riddle' you posted?
What ad?
MARTH7 04-02-2003, 04:09 PM I'm pretty sure im talking about the same riddle....I thought you guys were further. I'll post the link below for those who want it.
spoilers ahead
http://www.languid.net/nr/water/wow/OWKCN58TMAMLKTPS.htm
MARTH7,
I'm stuck on the third one (insects).
I've tried all the anagrams I can think up, but no luck.
How about a clue?
MARTH7 04-02-2003, 07:35 PM Let's say he imports, and he likes tiny, tiny insects that live in hills.
coldpower27 04-02-2003, 11:09 PM Could you give me a clue on Stage 1 Part 2 plz???
coldpower27 04-02-2003, 11:40 PM never mind i solved it;) now I am working on stage 1 part 3. wish me luck
Thanks MARTH7, I've got it now.;)
The clue line is a fake to throw you off the trail by thinking up anagrams (word play) for that line. Very sneaky. If you get caught up with the fake *clue*, then you'll never solve it.
MARTH7 04-03-2003, 03:40 PM Take the instructions more literally...what word do you remove the third letter from to get longer?
cogenmaster 04-03-2003, 04:55 PM The only root that is getting wet is my brain. Any hints on the root water question? Thanks
MARTH7 04-03-2003, 05:18 PM Once again, for the water one take it more litterally...What root could it be talking about???
Soul Harvester 04-03-2003, 05:54 PM Marth, what was your time for riddle #5? I don't want the order, I just want to see if I'm on the right track (I can't work on it at here, have to wait till I get home)
cogenmaster 04-03-2003, 06:15 PM Soulharverster,
Time is 17 - The boy is not the key.
coldpower27 04-03-2003, 07:03 PM damn, I am still having trouble with Stage 1 part 3 even with both clues here from nic and marth7 I still can't solve it. hmmm small insects that live in hills and he imports.
coldpower27 04-03-2003, 07:14 PM yes yes I did it I got stage 1 part 3 wish me luck, the answer hit me while I was thiking about your clue marth thk you.
coldpower27 04-03-2003, 07:34 PM I would like a clue for stage 1 part 4 though, also where do you input the answer?
schizoid77 04-04-2003, 08:57 AM The state of Britain? I have no clue......anyone?
cogenmaster 04-04-2003, 10:30 AM All those are movies at least that is what i found on google. I think i will quit on this one, taking up entirely to much of my time.
schizoid77 04-04-2003, 11:13 AM yeah, I know they're all movies....but they represent certain numbers...and I can't find a movie referencing the State of Britain with a # in the title as well....oh well.....
Other ones that are tough are;
You???
Number of Magnificent AND the number of the famous ones as well.....I know it's 7 but what are the famous ones?
RIP Race.....Deathrace 2000 maybe????
And interstellar affair set in which year again?
Vicious Circle
WOOOOOO! this is a great way to pass time at work.....frustrating as hell, but it's almost lunch time already
:)
Vassal24352 04-04-2003, 03:18 PM what is the answer to the second one...this is bugging the crap outta me:dead:
cogenmaster 04-04-2003, 03:23 PM Think of "lounging" in a chiar with a tall cold one.
MARTH7 04-04-2003, 06:01 PM Sorry I didn't reply quicker....Had to wipe my hard drive clean because it thought i didn't have a video card...anyway:
For 1-4 think about it....what is a common name for a female horse? (generally speaking) and don't forget that he only rides it at night....its a pun on words..
cogenmaster 04-04-2003, 08:42 PM you figure out what m1 london question is? hint hint
MARTH7 04-04-2003, 09:38 PM I'm kinda stumped on 1-12. I haven't really tried it because of certai pc problems. But if and when I find out anything about it, I'll post.
MARTH7 04-04-2003, 09:48 PM I think the other endpoint of m1 is yorkshire.....
SNGX1275 04-04-2003, 10:12 PM I can get you through 1-26.

Spike 01-26-2004, 12:20 PM I own two time pieces. They both serve a special purpose, for one has the least number of parts, while at the same time the other time piece has the most number of parts. Tell me the two in that order
I've tried everything I can think of. I've looked at the picture.
http://nr.wireplay.co.uk/themes/NR/Piece%20of%20Time.jpg
I've tried plays on reversing hands of the clock etc. I'm confused and want the next question!!!
Please, please help! I'm getting seriously frustrated at my apparent level of stupidity here!
Spike 01-26-2004, 02:52 PM lol. no matter. with a little help from a certain member, i'm on 1.5 now - complete the number sequence.

Spike 01-26-2004, 04:54 PM OK!!!!
Now I'm stuck! (again!) If there's anybody out there, I could really do with some help!
I'm on 1.10, the one with the security code. Nothing I type seems to be right!!!!!!
http://nr.wireplay.co.uk/themes/NR/Code%20Check.jpg
Spike 01-27-2004, 02:54 AM Yay! lol
I've made it all the way to 1.48.
I haven't answered it yet, but I've made it there!
To tell the truth, As far as I can find out, nobody has answered it!!!!!

blinkmagic 03-20-2005, 04:53 PM I own two time pieces. They both serve a special purpose, for one has the least number of parts, while at the same time the other time piece has the most number of parts. To continue your so far rather short journey you must tell me the two in that order below.
Maybe I am a complete idiot, but I am having way too much trouble with this.
Any help?
Spike 03-21-2005, 08:25 AM Think along the lines of shadows for the first, and the 'sands of time' for the latter.
