What I have done.
sfc /scannow - Check disk - Defragged - run spybot/adaware/avg and microsoft malicious software removal tool until all came up clean. I have used the diagnostic tools in the CMOS on HDD and memory. I have run memtest86 v3.4 but it freezes on the second test. It did come up with 1700 errors. lol.

Hey I'm new around here but I've been banging my head against a brick wall with some of the issues I've been experiencing and here looks like a good place to ask for help.

My PC Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 Ghz (hasn't been overclocked)
Geforce 9800 GTX (Stock speeds)
4 Gb Ram (or as Vista idenfies it as 3326mb Ram, again hasnt been overclocked)
Gigabyte - GA-P43-ES3G Motherboard
Logitech G35 Headphones/Realtek soundcard

Misc Info:
-Nothing has been overclocked tbh I don't have the right level of technical expertise to be sure I'd be doing it correctly
-PC is 8-9 months old
-Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 (Issues were also occuring with SP1)
-Downloaded new drivers for G35 and graphics card

My Issue:
I've been experiencing a multitude of bluescreens generally while playing games. I had experienced a couple of bluescreens on start up (but only after a bluescreen during a game) but this has only happened twice. Lately I've been playing Empire Total War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (1) and I can expect a bluescreen to happen pretty regularly while running these. I was previously also experiencing bluescreens running WoW and UT3. But interestingly never when playing Eve-Online which is a resource hog.

In Total War, I generally get about 2 turns in before a bluescreen crops up. And normally it happens when a npc is about to engage me during the npc's 'turn'.

In CoD, its harder to pin down but generally seems to happen after about 20-30 minutes.

With both games, there is a brief hang, goes to bluescreen then the computer restarts. No psychadelic patterns or looping sounds just straight to the bsod.

Error:
Most commonly I get the follow error messages:
IRQL_MORE_OR_LESS_EQUAL
usbuchi
usbport
usbccgp
nvlddkm
dkgkrnl

Those are the errors that normally seem to get thrown up on the screen.

What I have done:
I've tried downloading new updates for programs that seem to suffer from the bsod plague. New Drivers for the Logitech g35 and graphics card as I suspected these of being the problems.

I ran a chkdsk and that brought up 0 errors for the harddrive. I have tried changing the priority the programs run under and the affinity but nothing seems to be successful.

Misc Info:

I have McAfee running constantly and it gets to scan my computer every few days to make sure everything is clean.

The computer is located in a well ventilated room and although I haven't monitored the temperatures. I don't initially suspect that to be cause of the errors.

I am honestly at a loss, I'm not able to pinpoint the problem and the dumpfiles/error codes mean little to my untrained eyes. I'm at a complete loss as to what the issue is.

On a sidenote, I apparently have the latest available nvidia drivers successfully installed but when the installation program completed it stated no system files had been changed. Although the dxdiag disagrees with that.

I'm just completely bemused and probably in over my head when it comes to finding a solution. I have attached a few dmp files but I could probably attach a whole lot more :|.

I have tried this, confirmed that the drivers had been uninstalled, restarted and installed the latest. Same message but the driver did update.
ntkrnlpa.exe
ecache.sys
are all flagged as problem children. First download and run memtest86 to make sure your memory is good, if that doesn't work try
sfc /scannow in a command prompt window as an administrator.

I'll try this out overnight -- memtest just won't co-operate and I can't seem to get it onto a CD, but sfc /scannow doesn't throw up any errors.

Anyway thanks for the help so far :).

I have done this and since then I haven't had a single bluescreen related to usbaudio or similar. But the bluescreens have continued again only when playing games but now I get this

'The DMA Subsystem has detected an illegal DMA operation initiated by
a driver being verified. The faulty driver must be replaced with a
working version. '
I've already run a 10 passess Memtest86+ test and there's no RAM error...
So I am appealing to the forum to see if anybody could help/save me.

Error code 10000050, parameter1 ffffffe8, parameter2 00000001, parameter3 804f384b, parameter4 00000000
The program is emulator software to enable a pci card to communicate with an as400 server...I'm not very familiar with this hardware/software. Software is BOSaNOVA Plus 32 ver 6.03. The user has an Icon on the desktop that points to an executable called Bsmdemul.exe, which i assume starts the emulator, whenever I double click that icon the machine reboots....any help at all solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

This problem did not occur until after the pc was upgraded to service pack 3, uninstalled norton, installed avg and windows defender and recent updates, plus clean with ccleaner and added more memory.

I've had my custom built PC for nine months and it had been running fine till now. Two days ago I started getting BSOD (Memory_management) & at times (Page Fault in Non Paged Area). This would occur either randomly while the PC was on and even right after rebooting. Virus scan came out clean so I tried reinstalling VISTA 64 bit. This didnt solve the problem either. No software or hardware had been added to the machine so my guess was either its a hardware issue or maybe it had something to do with Vista update. As a last resort I partitioned the HD and then formated it.
During the installation of VISTA (File extraction) BSOD occured again which forced me to do the installation a second time. To me this rules our Vista update, virus or driver issue since this never happnened before.
Even after a fresh installation ,I still get BSOD randomly. I tried different trouble shooting softwares such as Hard Drive inspector 3.32(CNET) which told me HD is failing (S.M.A.R.T test) .."not sure how accurate this is" and another software called video card stabilty test trail software (CNET) which showed some errors.
CPU temp and HD temp are normal.
One thing I did forget to mention is that I did notice HD keeps on making this sound as if its reading/writing even when the system is idle and not updating anything. At times PC was acting sluggish when opening different windows.
I am leaning towards HD failure but also suspect ( video card or RAM). Do you guys know if a failing HD can cause BSOD with memory management issues?
I recently built my computer, around 2 months ago. Just about a month ago, I've been receiving frequency BSODs (around 4 - 5 times per week now). I've ran Prime95, Memtest and other checks on my computer, they all seem to be fine.
The crash time is normally right after I log into windows, when all the processes are initiating.

I have major problems with my computer and in desperate need of help. This community looked great on a similar issue and thought I'd share my problem in hopes that someone can help me fix it all up!

I run into two BSOD's (sometimes 3, forget what the third one says).

Page Fault in Non Paged Area
IRQL Not Less Or Equal
Please note, I have tried installing Vista many times over and I get the same results each time...

This is with a new install of Vista SP2 on my computer. So I have installed Vista 32bit Ultimate onto my desktop, installed ALL updates onto my computer including driver updates which Windows automatically installs. Then at completely random times I get BSOD- "Page Fault in Non Pages Area" and sometimes, IRQL Not Less Or Equal BSOD- however mostly the former. The Page Fault error usually happens more often than not when copying large amount of data onto my hard drive from an external that works perfectly fine with my laptop running vista (however I know it not my hard drive, see explanation in next paragraph).

I have run memtest on my RAM- all good. Tried removing separate sticks of RAM and I get the same result with BSOD. I have checked my hard disk for errors and everything is fine there. Even tried using a different hard drive to install vista on- same errors.

I am completely stumped! Not to mention extremely frustrated!

I know I have minidumps but can not work out an easy way to read them. So I have attached two dumps of 152KB- zipped to attach.

It must be an issue with my hardware, but I can't figure out what part... Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

David

Edit: Extra Detail- this BSOD happens at any time. My desktop is currently running fine for 20min and no BSOD, its just sitting here doing nothing- will no doubt BSOD soon without me touching it.

EDIT: It just BSOD and I didn't touch a thing- ntfs.sys was mentioned.

After running a spyware check, I clicked next and it removed the items and it required me to restart, after a few minutes the BSOD was shown

''A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop screen, restart your computer if this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in this stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for a driver update. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as memory caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options, and then select safe mode.''

CPU: It is a Pentium 4, 1.8
Motherboard: Asrock P4S61
Ram Speed, size and #sticks: DDR 266, 3 sticks for 3 slots (512mb) 1.5 GB total.
GPU:is this mean graphic card? if so, it ATI 1600
PSU : Antec 350 watt output
OS: Windows XP home, SP3

Hi all, hope you can help me.

For many months now I would get so many crashes in Firefox. They would happen mostly when I would play a flash game. And you know how flash takes 99% cpu eh? On coreduo or quad would be no prob, but with my computer, kinda sucks, but playable.
Sometimes utorrent would crash too, once in blue moon...
And well, I'm getting random reboots as well, which produce a minidump, which is associated with the firefox crashes. I will copy and paste the minidumps here in a minute, just a little more history for y'all.

Month ago, I reformatted the harddrive, it is a Maxtor 250 GB (IDE). I thought maybe a freshly installed windows would help the crashes. It did not work.

Just yesterday, I put in a 1 GB stick of DDR 400, to replace the 3 sticks of DDR266.
The crashes and random reboot still happen.

I went through the things in the read me, changing aperture to 128, new pagefile, etc. etc.

I could replace the other hardware but was hoping the minidumps could tell you exactly what it is, and maybe i could narrow it down to 2 things instead of 3 or 4.

I'll post the latest 2 minidump.

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 8056795b, The address that the exception occurred at
Thinking it might be the HD I got a brand new HD and did a clean win xp install. Except I am still getting the BSOD's. I thought it might be memory so I got it more powerful RAM, still BSOD's.

When I experience BSOD's is usually whenever I try to do anything online. Sometimes it will BSOD right on start up, or when I try to get online, or connect to trillian. When I stay offline it will usually got a while before BSOD's.

It not BSOD's but sometimes it straight restarts or get a windows needs to shut down in a minute error message.

The errors I've gotten so far:

NTFS.Sys File Error
IRQL Not Equal or Less
Page error in nonpaged area

IRQL and NTFS.sys errors point to NTFS.Sys file being a big problem.

Its really inundating me the number of errors I am getting and my comp isn't letting me online long enough to really post it. I'll try to see how many time it restarts until I can post the last 7 minidumps here (I am posting from my mac and the Rar file says its invalid when I try to post it)

Hi. I am going steadily insane due to BSOD. When I start my computer (which is old) I get a BSOD after a few seconds of the desktop appearing. Usually just before windows live messenger is about to load up. I have discovered that If I log onto the guest account and then switch user to my account it solves it. I dont know if that is significant in any way. The BSOD message always includes an sp**.sys file.

These files are from the last few BSODS. It does it every time I startup.

spvc.sys
spfk.sys
spfp.sys
spci.sys
spmj.sys
splz.sys
spva.sys

my Bitdefender installation also stops responding on occasion which also seems to slow down my computer while it restarts..

Could this be a virus? I have a very limited knowledge about technical stuff.
