Hi there!!

This is my first post, mainly because I didn't know what minidumps were or where they were located until earlier tonite.

I have attached quite a few minidumps. Mine seem to occur mainly when trying to run any 3d applications or games. Below is a brief summary of my computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks so much!

Hi blooz4u,

The culprit is faulty ram. I find memory corruption at one of your minidumps.
You can run memtest to stress the ram. If memtest reports the ram is faulty, ram is bad. However Memtest is not a perfect tool to test the memory as some faulty can pass memtest.

Suggestion
1. Check the temperature of the CPU and make sure that it is not overheat (ie temperatur < 60C)
2. Reseat the memory stick to another memory slot
3. Downclock the ram
4. Clean the dust inside the computer case
5. Make sure that the ram is compatible to the motherboard

If it still crashes, diagnostic which memory stick is faulty
1. Take out one memory stick. If windows does not crash, the removed memory stick is faulty.
2. If you have only one memory stick, replace the ram

Hi there and thanks for the quick look and reply!!

I did have a ram problem earlier in the year. I have since replaced both sticks with 2x512 and did not get any failed test messages from memtest.

I'll try tonight to move the sticks to other slots on the board.

Might you have any other suggestions??

Thanks,

blooz
