hi to all ;)

I have another weird thing to ask hehehe

I'm trying to boot from my USB pen drive.

I know my mobo (ECS K7S5A) allows it and all BIOS options are fine.

I used several techniques to make my USB drive bootable and the images were always OK (I mean were really written to the boot sector & stuff)

But it happens to never work :( I tried Win98, DOS, Linux boot images and neither of them works ...

The pc searches for boot sector and then directly switches to HDD boot.ini menu :(

Any ideas ???

no ! there are no fixes for any USB related issues in the latest available BIOSes so I don't see any reason for flashig it just for fun :p

????

I see that there are some unoficcial BIOSes there but I don't see any specifiying it fixes a USB boot problem ...

maybe i'm blind or dumb ??
