can't see windows

first off i should say my pc was working this morning.
when i load up wuindows i can see the boot and loading screen but after the loading screen disapears i can see nothing but i know windows has loaded because my startup sound plays on my speakers. how can i fix this????
 
Sounds like your machine is switching to a graphics mode that your graphics card is having problems with. Reboot, hold f8 and choose safe mode. Try that.
