If I'm logged in to the forums, why doesn't that simultaneously log me into the rest of the site for commenting on the news and such?

Yeah, I noticed that too captaincranky, apparently the forums and news boards have different log in windows and therefor you need to sign in at both the forums and the news site.

It works like this... if you log in using the forums form, that will only set a cookie for this section.

If you use this page instead: http://www.techspot.com/login.html
That will set cookies and log you in for the whole site.
