Software allows game copying

Software maker 321 Studios, whose products for copying DVD movies have drawn controversy and lawsuits, released a new application Thursday for copying PC games.

Game X Copy allows PC gamers to create a backup of any title and store it either on the PC's hard drive or recordable CD or DVD, according to the company. 321 spokeswoman Julia Bishop-Cross said the software was created at the behest of parents, who wanted a way to protect their investment in PC games for their children in case a game disc becomes scratched or otherwise unreadable.

I imagine they're getting worked up because that program could help people rip games & eventually upload them to P2P networks but on the other hand, you are entitled to creating a backup copy of the games you have purchased.

How many recent games have you bought that you were able to do a CD image to use with Daemon tools or such ?

All of them Didou... using either alcohol or another homebrew soft noone knows of, made right here in Argentina.

And games are already all around p2p, they are released even before they hit stores shelves
