looking for screenshot software

Any recommendations for free or inexpensive software to take screen shots of windows to be able to include them in documentation or requests for support.

Anybody?

I like the Printscreen key + MSPaint combination.

If you don't know how, just open the thing you want to take a screenshot of and press PrtScn in the upper right corner of your keyboard. Then go into paint and press ctrl+v (paste). And if you just want a pic of the first window, press Alt+PrtScn instead of just PrtScn.

PrtSc generally takes the whole desktop. Use ALT + PrtSc when you just want the application that's focussed.

MWSnap will sit in your tray and will let you define the area to be captured, even saves it as a jpg or bmp.

Another cool program with some added functionality to taking screenshots is Clipper found at http://www.hot.ee/mardu123/clipper/ - I've been working with this guy to add some functions to this thing but so far it's been great.
