redhat linux CRASHED HELP!

my linux box crashed and keeps coming up with the error--memory configuration change and when I boot it says boot password not accessible. The info on this box is years worth of work that I didn't back up--OOPS- Can someone tell me if it's a ram gone bad or is it something else, before I start pulling things apart.--Thanks

System specs
Is it Linux that is telling you this? Looks more like BIOS messages to me.

First thing to try is clearing the CMOS memory. There is a jumper for this on the motherboard.

Boot up with the cleared CMOS and enter BIOS setup. Load failsafe defaults and see if you can boot. Later on you can try loading factory or optimised defaults.

PS
Shouting for help doesn't give you any extra (positive) attention.

To me it does sound like Linux because its complaining about the Boot Password. However Memory Configuration change? That is new to me.

Can you give the exact error it gives, entire syntax and when and where it does it exactly.
