Studio upgrade failure

Well I got my upgrade fromPinnacle studio 8 to 9 and started installing fine.
It detected previous installation, I had the code in the book and it accepted it, It then asked for the disc but I had left it at work so I aborted.

When I got it home and tried again all i get is ...previous instillation detected then creat dir failed and thats it cancel and back to desktop.

I have so far.
Tried to reinstall studio8
Uninstall and remove every registry reference that I can find, using regedit and Regcleaner.

I even did a system restore to yesterday but got the same create dir failed message.

I have seen on another forum that there is some info buried very deep in the registry that cannot be removed.

Without a format and reinstall of everything is there a solution to this?

Dont worry, I found a link to Regdelete which sorted the problem.
What a waste of an evening.

It's not a waste if you fixed it and learned something at the end of the day...
