Google search is slow
Hi everyone, I have a strange problem. When I use Google search it takes a couple of minute to return the search results. However, Google maps works perfectly fine as well as all the links from the Google homepage and from results list. All other sites and search engines work normally. I have ESET Smart Security set up on my computer. Tried to turn it off - no result. I use IE7 and tried to play with settings there with no luck. Installed Opera and tried to search Google from there - the same scenario. I tried Malwarebytes, Spybot, Trojan Remover, Ad-aware, HJT to find the problem and fix it but the problem is still there. Not only it is really annoying but I'm suspicious of something else very bad hiding behind that problem. I hope folks you can help me with that one.

Malwarebytes (MBAM) must be up-to-date for results to be meaningful.
Past infections can corrupt the registry (related to winsock). Consider this post, but this is not a recommendation: winsockfix |

In my case the internet connection is not disrupted.
I update MBAM daily and run it after the update |
