Hi i have a toshiba satellite p25-s5263 laptop, it will not boot, the power, battery, and AC lights will stay on but a black screen remains, i can hear the hard drive running, and fans will run only for a few seconds, and battery will not hold charge only of a few mins then it will die, once in a blue moon the laptop will boot and work like normal but only after hundreds of atemps to power on. i tried to power on with out the battery only with the AC but nothing. can you please help, thank you for your time

Remove the battery and try booting with the AC adapter only. Also, if it still won't boot, remove the AC adapter and battery. Hold the power button down for about 30 seconds. Release the button, plug in the AC adapter and see if it boots. If all this fails to improve booting, the motherboard may be the problem
