Screen Saver Tab
We have a new laptop in the office (Sony Viao) and this is the deal:
when I click on Control Panel, Display, there is no tab for screen saver. The other tabs are there: Themes, Desktop, Appearance, Settings But No Screen Saver Tab. Am running Windows XP on a brand new laptop. How can I change the screensaver? We have other Viao and none of them seem to have this particular issue....... Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks ya'll |

I am not sure why this would happen, but you can limit access to certain items using XP's built-in policy tool.
Check this setting: Click Start / Run Type in: gpedit.msc Press [enter] Browse to User Configuration / Control Panel / Display / Hide Screen Saver Tab This allows you to hide the screen saver tab. Perhaps your computer administrator did this for a reason, or perhaps it is just a glitch. |

Thanks - I'll let you know if this doesn't work out for me.
