Trying to figure a price on selling this computer

First off: This is not an add to sell my computer, I'm trying to figure out a price to put on it to sell it locally.

Here are my computer specs:

1.) Graphics Card - EVGA 512-P3-N802-AR GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

2.) Computer Case - COOLER MASTER CM Stacker STC-T01-UW Black/ Silver Aluminum Bezel, SECC Chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case

3.) Power Suppy Unit - PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W Continuous @ 40°C EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply compatible with core i7

4.) 8GB Ram - OCZ Vista Upgrade 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2VU8004GK

5.) Quad Core CPU 2.3GHz - AMD Phenom 9600 Agena 2.3GHz Socket AM2+ 95W Quad-Core Processor Model HD960ZWCGDBOX

6.) Motherboard - MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard

7.) HDD - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3160815AS 160GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

8.) HDD - I have another 160GB IDE HDD spare in the computer

9.) OS - Microsoft Windows Vista 64-Bit Home Premium for System Builders Single Pack DVD

I was going to try and sell it for..maybe $1,500. What are you thoughts on the price?

I can build a x58 setup with more ram for 1500usd. I like the psu, good brand,

If I were you I'd be asking 800usd. maybe a little more.

800 USD? I bought everything for a grand total of about $1,300. I bought all the parts of NewEgg and put it together.

I was thinking of setting the price at $1,500 due to the fact that people aren't the smartest, so they would pay it.

I might lower it then.

Only way you're going to sell it for 1500 is if you guarantee replacement on the parts, and offer customer support. That's the advantage that dell or any other company has over you. And it doesnt matter what you bought the parts for. What are they worth now? Not to mention they're not brand new.

Wait so you payed $1300 but you want to sell it for $1500?

When a product is used, the value decreases dramatically. Also you can build that now for much cheaper.

I custom built my computer about 8 years ago. Cost me $1500. I would be lucky to get $300 for it now

anyways GL with your sale.

WTH?

There's a lot of people on my local craig's, that do that crud all the time. Preying on the noobs. But your lookin' for a very rare kind o'nood, man. Rich and doesn't know how to google.

This economy's lowering prices across the board. For almost EVERYTHING.
Unless that thing's made out of gold, dude.
