No sound

so im getting that error no mixer devices so before i buy anything or take it to a shop can someone tell me how to fix

System specs
Look in the Device Manager and see if there is a yellow mark anywhere in the audio sections. If you find anything, delete it and reboot. See if the sound comes back

do check for device driver problems.. but i've also seen this message if Windows Audio service is not running.

Click Start->Run, enter services.msc

Scroll down through the list of services to find Windows Audio. Check and tell me if Status=Started??? If Windows Audio Status is blank or =Stopped that's the problem. Let us know
