I know i know, it seems i disappear for months at a time just to show up and share something new i have tried.

Well heres what I've done now, nothing too amazing, i just installed Windows 7 x64 on the box in my specs.

What makes it so amazing is my system is running every game i play at higher settings and resolutions, with better frames than it did in Vista x64 or XP x64

The games default higher and run better, odd.

All the games i ran in DX9 (Crysis, FC2, GTAIV etc.) Are now running in DX10.

In Crysis Warhead, Im running DX10 gamer/enthusiast at 1024x768 30-35 FPS
Vista, DX9 1024x768 Mainstream, 20-25, lowest 17...
XP pretty much the same.

GTAIV runs DX10, 1600x1200@75Hz, High very high, 30-32 FPS
alot worse at 1024x768 in Vista and XP.

Ive seen improvements like that in Crysis across all of my games, including all the source games, unreal engine games, and COD4 and WaW.

7 boots faster, it just does everything better. I can multitask better. office 2007 opens within a half of second of clicking it. from post to desktop 15-25 seconds. Its amazing.

Do we think MS finally got this whole OS thing right?

right you are Gamejunkie, I have noticed the same thing, about a 10-12% improvement in most games on 7100, boot times are exponentially faster as well, whereas Vista runs the HDD for a few minutes before settling in
